Praying for Peace!πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½

As a nation shameful violence and alarming tragedies continue to happen and recently it's gone down in ways that send shockwaves of grief, shame and sadness to us as a nation and in our world! We’ve seen a young man carry out a shameful racist attack at a grocery store in Buffalo New York that targeted and murdered 10 black shoppers in the name of white supremacy.Β

As believers we condemn white supremacy and any form of racism, there is no way around that! A young man was killed in Chicago at the famous bean in Millennium Park and our hearts should be broken at another shameful killing now downtown in a place most don’t expect to hear of such a slaying.Β

Shame and grief should fill our hearts after an Asian church was targeted for yet another shooting and yesterday, yet another horrific shooting went down at an Elementary School in Texas killing 19 children, two teachers, wounding 17 others. The shooter killed his own grandmother and he died as well. I never thought another Elementary school shooting would happen after the one in Connecticut. I cannot imagine sending my young children to school and finding out they were murdered for no reason while there!Β

We pray for and send our love out to everyone affected by these incidents! Our world is broken and fallen! This is another reason why we must preach the Gospel to as many people as we can! We live in an evil broken world where our next breath is not promised! Until Jesus returns, we will continue to experience murder, mass shootings, racism and brokenness! But until Jesus returns, we should be giving the message of Christ to change hearts and redeem souls!Β

Though we know that laws do not change hearts, laws do restrain evil, and some laws do need to change as we examine where our society is! Lord bring us your peace; I'm praying Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
