My Thoughts on the Death of Kobe Bryant

I'm Praying for @kobebryant 's family and for the families of all the victims. Celebrity deaths cause us all for the most part to face the inevitability of our own mortality. As a basketball fan I previously stated that I was never a Kobe fan. I respected his game no doubt; but I was an MJ, Iverson, LeBron and D-Wade fan. Another thing that has sent shockwaves throughout the basketball world pertaining to Kobe's death is the fact that no NBA Legend on an iconic level has ever died this young and this soon after retirement.

Wilt Chamberlain, Moses Malone & George Mikan (a legend but not as known) were legends who died but they were in their 60s and older. Kobe's career after basketball had already gotten off to an amazing start with an Oscar win and multiple innovative business ventures. As we think about death I pray that if you don't know Jesus you will repent and turn to him right now!!! I then pray that if you are saved you will use this tragedy as a springboard to the Gospel of Christ which offers the only hope we have for eternity! We will all stand before God's throne to give an account; whether you believe in God, Jesus, the Bible or not! None of us know when our time on earth will end "For it is appointed to men once to die and after death comes judgment." Hebrews 9:27
