With this song, the goal is to encourage everyone to trust the Lord in all things and at all times! More than ever as we deal with the coronavirus we as the people of God must remember that God is in control of all things but due to the sin of this world we live in a fallen creation with death, disease and pandemics.
We cannot surrender to fear brothers and sisters because God has not given us a Spirit of fear, for he has given to us a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind! (2 Timothy 1:7). Jesus reigns supreme over sickness and disease but it is his sovereign prerogative and choice who and when to heal.
Will you be able to say God is still good if he doesn’t do what you want him to do? God brings rain on the just and unjust! If this world ends, or a disease or the government takes us out then we are going to heaven to be with the Lord forever! As Christians we cannot lose! Absent from the body is present with the Lord!
Times like these are some of the best times to be a Christian! We are the only ones with true hope and people are thinking about their own mortality much more than they normally are. Let's be wise and sensitive as people are searching for answers and they are even more open to hearing the Gospel!
Justin wants to remind us that God is still on the throne and no matter what we go through as believers we can remain Optimistic because we don't just live for this life; we also live for the life that's to come! We also know that Our God is in control of all things and Sovereign over this world! If you don't know the Lord today, we encourage you to repent, surrender your life to Jesus and lay up for yourself treasures in heaven which no one can steal or take away! (Matt. 6:19-20).
This song is a remix of one of Justin’s favorite songs from his childhood "Optimistic" by the Legendary Group Sounds of Blackness; Produced by Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Gary Hines. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis recently reacted to Justin’s video by liking the video on Instagram! As anyone could imagine this was a huge honor for Justin since these are the men who signed Sounds of Blackness and are legends for their production work in the music industry! They've sold millions of records, won countless awards including grammy's and they’ve done legendary work for Michael Jackson, Prince, Usher, Janet Jackson, Yolanda Adams and many more!
Alot of people remix songs but it's not often that legends in the game and the people who produced what you remixed even hear what you've done or let alone react to it! I'm truly honored! I believe there is much more to come.
As a producer and musician Justin feels it was his obligation to flip the song and give it his own spin! The aforementioned artists/producers are true musical inspirations!
